Dear Families,
It is amazing how time flies when you are busy growing and learning! Our school year is winding down, but it is still full of life and we are finishing strong. This week there were music concerts, a vibrant flamenco show, field trips, fundraisers for global citizens, and 5th graders sharing the songs they composed in music class. Oh, and MAP testing too!
As always, thank you for sharing your wonderful kids with us.
Ms. Dani
Monthly Character Strength: Leadership
For the month of May, our character strength focus is leadership. At ASM, leadership means taking initiative, inspiring others toward a common goal, and modeling the values of our community through both words and actions.
Students who demonstrate this strength will have their names entered into a drawing at our next assembly for a chance to have lunch with Ms. Dani. We invite families to talk with their children at home about all different types of leadership and what it can look like.
OPAL Donations
Clean out your junk and bring it to school! We are always on the look out for donations to OPAL. See more here.

REMINDERS:
SIGN UP FOR OUR SUMMER CAMP IN ENGLISH --- This year’s Summer Camp will run from July 1-31. Our camp aims to immerse children in the English language in a playful, fun, and informal way through a full-immersion camp-style approach that integrates the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Campers will learn English through educational games and hands-on projects and will also enjoy plenty of structured time outdoors each day. Many of our students have an intermediate or advanced level of English; therefore, our camp is also a wonderful option for proficient English speakers.
