Dear Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, the energy across campus has been hard to miss. Field trips, the G2/3 Hawaiian Beach Party performance, learning celebrations, art shows, music concerts, and G5 step-up preparations are all underway — there is so much to celebrate in these last nine days together. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making this such a meaningful year.
We also want to take a moment to recognize the families and students who will be moving on at the end of this year. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and joy you have brought to our community. You will be missed, and we wish you all the very best in your next chapter.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Dani
Grade 5 CAS Projects
This week grade 5 students have been working hard on their CAS projects. CAS stands for Creativity, Activity, Service. In this project, students are encouraged to engage in experiential learning outside of academics through arts, sports, and community service. Students work in groups or on their own on a project in the area of their interest. Some projects include building a bird house, hosting a mini world cup, or watching younger students after school.
See below for some annoucements about CAS projects:
For their CAS project, Sebastian, Isa, and Lyla are organizing an animal food drive for dogs and cats, located next to the LS elevator. It will be brightly decorated and easy to recognize. All donations will go to the S.P.A.P., the oldest animal shelter in Madrid, working since 1928, we might help them turn 100 years of service to our community! All dog and cat food is okay to contribute, as well as litter. Thank you for your time and attention.

Time and Date: 8:50-9:50 am, Monday, June 8
Location: Lower School Music Room (LS building, second floor)
No pre-requisite is required.

REMINDERS:
SIGN UP FOR OUR SUMMER CAMP IN ENGLISH --- This year’s Summer Camp will run from July 1-31. Our camp aims to immerse children in the English language in a playful, fun, and informal way through a full-immersion camp-style approach that integrates the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Campers will learn English through educational games and hands-on projects and will also enjoy plenty of structured time outdoors each day. Many of our students have an intermediate or advanced level of English; therefore, our camp is also a wonderful option for proficient English speakers.
