Newington Academy is a vital hub of the community and we are proud to serve such an ethnically diverse and exciting part of the city. We are especially proud of our strong links to the historic Hull fishing industry and have played a major part in keeping alive those memories and using the school and it's pupils to celebrate the memories of our ancestors.

A long series of interactive community-based arts projects culminated in us taking part in the Hessle Road mural project with our pupils names being etched forever within the local artworks!
