Section 1. Executive Board (EB). The governing body of the Union shall be the Executive Board (EB) whose membership shall be elected through secret ballot by the general membership.
Section 2. Powers and Duties. - The EB shall be the highest executive body of Union to:
Section 3. Composition - The EB shall be composed of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Relations Officer and Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall be composed of four (4) members.
Section 4. Term of Office of the Executive Board.
a. ALL POSITIONS in the Executive Board are only for a fixed term of starting immediately on the day of being voted into office and officially ending on the 365th (or 366th on a leap year) day. The Regular Election of the EB MUST be also on the 3rd Monday of January, the Annual Regular General Membership Meeting/Assembly.
b. In case any vacancy occurs (except for that of President where the Vice-President automatically takes over), a SPECIAL GENERAL ELECTION MUST BE CALLED by the Union COMELEC to fill-in the said vacancy,
c. The successor of any vacated position will finish the remainder of term of the replaced EB officer
d. A vacancy of an EB position may occur due to sickness, incapacity, retirement, resignation, or for due cause as deemed with finality by pertinent Union body.
Section 5. Regular Meeting of the Executive Board. - Regular meetings of the Executive Board shall take place every second Monday of every month, with appropriate notice to be sent out by the Secretary by OFFICIAL e-mail, regular mail, or text message to each member of the Board at least two (2) days prior to such meeting. The time of the meeting shall be agreed by the Executive Board, with the meeting preferably held in the Union Office. Fifty percent (50%) plus one (1) attendance shall constitute a quorum to transact business.
Section 5. Special Meeting - Special meeting of the EB may be called anytime, either at the call of the President, or upon the request of the majority of the Executive Board.
Section . Absences. - Absence of a member or members of the Executive Board shall be subject to rules and regulations to be promulgated by the Board. Such rules and regulations shall be approved by the general membership.
