5/19/2020 Morning Message

Good Morning, St. Vincent Families,

Take a moment to pray this morning.

Lord, in the morning I start each day, by taking a moment to bow and pray.

Beginning with thanks, I then give praise for all your kind and loving ways.

Today if sunshine turns to rain, if a dark cloud brings some pain, I won't doubt or hide in fear.

For you, my God, are always near.

I will travel where you lead; I will help my friends in need.

Where you send me, I will go; with your help, I'll learn and grow.

Hold my family in your hands, as we follow your commands.

And I will keep you close in sight until I crawl in bed tonight. Amen.

This week is our last week for instruction and completing work for the 2019-2020 school year. Grades will be based on the amount of work, quality of work, and engagement in completing work. We are so proud of the learning we have seen. If your child has not engaged in the instruction the teachers have prepared for hex 6, they will receive an ‘I’ (incomplete). This grade will not affect their promotion to the next grade. However, there are concerns of independence and responsibility skills. Students may still get their items completed this week. Let’s go SVDP Rock stars! You can do this. We believe in you.

The SV Hub was created for families, students, and parents to keep on top of the information coming from school. Thank you to the many who have utilized the Morning Message and The Hub to create a successful experience for their families. Thank you also for the feedback on how to make this experience better for your children.

This is a great day to finish what needs to be finished, engage in the activities your teachers have each day. Participate in the community activities teachers and staff have prepared. Please sign up for your family’s time slot for next week’s pick up/drop off. We can’t wait to see you again.

Family Trivia Night Last trivia event is this Thursday! We had to change the Zoom link. It is different from the last couple of weeks.

May Crowning Video A shout out to the Kuhn Family for helping film the May Crowning at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Mr. Phil Hartley came in special just to tape it for us. It goes to the Facebook page. You May recognize the Virgin Mary in the video. She and Mrs. Reinke hang out in the library together!

Children’s Mass and Opportunities Fr. Becker will be celebrating Children’s Mass tomorrow at 9:00am on the Assumption Catholic Schools Facebook Page.

ABS Countdown Ramps Up: ‘T’ and ‘U’ day. Be thankful and do things USA. Try singing the Star Spangled Banner today.
