Good morning St. Vincent Families,

How are you?

What do you need?

The world has been thrown a curveball, and this is when we need grace and understanding more than anything else. There is a vast unknown, and it is scary. We want to do right by our students. But I want to ask everyone to take a deep breath and a huge step back to look at the bigger picture.

Many plans and assignments will not work.

Many students and teachers are facing more significant problems than logging into a live lecture.

Every home will be different.

Every situation will be different.

We must all embrace school closures and this new idea of home learning with a HUGE dose of grace.

All this while we enter into the most beautiful season of Easter. Please keep Jesus at the center of your household as we all journey together.

Holy Week

Today is Holy Thursday. I have shared the Stations of the Cross on the SVDP Videos page on the Hub. I also would like to share another episode of “What’s in the Box?” Yes, Jody and Emma are at it again. This time baking cookies.

Father Becker is celebrating the Paschal Triduum with the Marshfield Deanery priests. He will be concelebrating. These three liturgies can all be watched live as well as recorded after the conclusion of the liturgy on the website of Our Lady of Peace http://olpmarshfield.com/live-holy-week-liturgies/

Holy Thursday–April 9 @ 6pm

Good Friday–April 10 @ 12:30pm

Easter Vigil–April 11 @ 8pm

A live streamed Easter Sunday Mass April 12 @ 8am from Christ the King on the ACS Facebook page.

Calendar

A reminder that hex 5 will end tonight. Our teachers are using much grace as they grade for report cards. We are all understanding how the instruction and learning has curved in hex 5. Hex 6 will be starting when we come back to the Google Classrooms and online instruction on Wednesday 4/15. Your extended Easter holiday is from 4/10-4/14. Next week will be a three day week for students (and families).

So you would like to do Morning Announcements?

Students: If you would like to send your Vocaroo (send me the link) with an introduction including your name, our pledge, an awesome prayer, and an inspirational message to our school community, that would be totally awesome. Click on this link for the template.

Virtual Spirit Week

(April 6-12) Celebrating Easter Each week, students can participate in the virtual spirit week theme by submitting their pictures and/or comments to Mrs. Leberg at nleberg@assumptioncatholicschools.org and then she will share in the newsletter.

Participate in an Assumption Community Easter Egg Hunt - "Social distancing style"

Make a large egg (using items you already have around your home) and then put it out where it will be viewable from the road. When done, take a photo and we will post it on the Assumption Community Easter Egg Hunt Facebook event page. On Easter Sunday, ACS families can take a drive around and "hunt" for the eggs.

Song of the Day

Quite often at our after school prayer service we have music playing. Reckless Love by Cory Asbury is one that the Golat family has shared. Enjoy. If you have any you would like to share, please send it along.

Peace to you and wash your hands,

Mrs. Fochs
