Introduction to Computer Science 1

Description:

This semester course introduces students to the foundations of computer science and information technology. The individual lessons in this course were developed to reinforce the unifying themes and support the use of the computational practices that we expect students to employ. The goal of the course is for students to develop the computational practices of algorithm development, problem solving and programming within the context of real world applications.

Students will also be introduced to topics such as Fundamentals of Structured Programming, limits of computers, and societal and ethical issues of advanced technologies.
