IB Diploma Course Students:
IB1 SL Mathematics AI: A June- IB Score Up to Date (SIB on report card) of 3 or above.
The IB Mathematics Applications and Interpretations SL course is a rigorous, well-paced IB course that focuses on topics that are often used in applications or mathematical modelling. This course includes topics such as Number and Algebra, Functions, Geometry and Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, and Calculus. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to solve real-world problems, learn how to draw generalizations and conclusions through mathematical thinking. Students will be developing an appreciation for connecting theoretical mathematical concepts with their practical applications. They will furthermore develop strong technology skills as this course makes extensive use of technology. Students who wish to take this course should enjoy real-world applications of mathematics and problem solving.
Note: This is the second part in a two year course sequence.
A Graphic Display calculator is required. CASIO CG series graphic display calculator will be used for class instruction and demonstration. Please check with the school before buying a graphing calculator.
