A minimum of B+ in Algebra & Trigonometry Regular and a B- for Honors

Description

This course is a fast-paced and rigorous study of standard Pre-Calculus topics with emphasis on Functions and algebraic and numerical solutions to AP calculus style word problems. Pre-Calculus is a required course for AP Calculus. It is also useful for those who want to take the SAT I and II subject tests in Mathematics. Topics covered in this course include a thorough analysis of functions and curve sketching including polynomials, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions and their applications., trigonometry including all trigonometric functions, double angle identities, sum and difference identities, parametric and polar equations of curves, and introduction to calculus with limits and continuity.

A Graphic Display calculator is required. CASIO CG series graphic display calculator will be used for class instruction and demonstration. Please check with the school before buying a graphing calculator.
