Advocacy and Border Health

Objectives:

• To increase learner’s knowledge and comprehension about factors impacting the health and access to care of individual, family, and community health.

• To increase understanding and ability to apply factors impacting patient, family, and community health to targeted health issues and planning for care overall.

• Participate in the delivery of health care on the border with approved clinical supervision.

• Reflect and teach on the impact that culture, political systems and lifestyles have on the standards and accessibility of health care.
