This term, we're incredibly fortunate to be located in our brand-new buildings!
To keep you on your toes, we've changed our hub names...
We're already moved in and are having an absolute ball!
Our spaces are starting to look a little more like our own and we'd absolutely love for you to pop upstairs for a visit. You're welcome to swing by both before and after school for a tour.
This term the school's concept focus is 'change' and we're excited to be digging into two different contexts here.
No doubt, you'll have heard all about our recent political learning. Both hubs have been exploring the different policies (and candidates) of our main electoral parties in a bid to decide on who they would vote for.
On Tuesday we all votes for our preferred parties and candidates and soon we'll be exploring this data through statistical investigation.
This has been fantastic real-world learning and has resulted in a number of interesting, well-considered conversations in the hubs!
Our recent move into these incredible new hubs prompted us to think differently about our learning for the remainder of this term.
In response to this, we'll be exploring the history of how space has been used (in schools, homes and workplaces). We'll also be researching different ways of learning in a bid to help us make the most of our new environments. Finally, we will reflect on the skills required as some of us head up to college and interview past students to add to our understanding.
Camp is now only a few weeks away and we can't wait.
Please do make payment if you've not already done so and keep an eye on our camp website for any updates.
Thanks, as always, for your support.
Ngā mihi,
Hope, Ollie, Miriam and Sarah
