Learner Agency

Stonefields School has always had a focus on developing Learner Agency. Since our school opened, we have used our Learning Process and Learner Qualities as Tools and Strategies to help our learners get out of the Learning Pit.

Over the last 3 years teachers have been inquiring into the capabilities that support learners to be agentic. The team have taken this learning to unpack what learning matters - we also used community and learner voice to help inform our thinking about what is critical to know and what is critical to learn. This work will be reflected in our emerging Graduate Profile.

The following video will give you some insight into the thinking of our learners and teachers and how Learner Agency has impacted their learning and practice. Enjoy.
