Stonefields School Learning Celebration - Making History

We are very much looking forward to sharing the Making History Exhibition with you on Thursday, 6th August, 2.00pm - 7.30pm. Please note school closes at 1.00pm on Thursday 6th August 2020.

| The purpose of this event is twofold |

• Importantly one of the hub teachers will verbally update you for 10 minutes on the progress, achievement and next steps of your child.
• Secondly, for you to view the exhibition in your child’s hub. Each hub is exhibiting unique lockdown stories and post COVID learning in this significant Making History - Share our Stories event.

| 10 minute Progress Update |

• A teacher will be updating you on the progress, achievement and next steps for your child. These updates will take place in your child’s hub.

How to book

• Click on here to make a booking.
• Bookings close at 4.00pm on Friday 31st July. Once bookings have closed, no changes or additions can be made. The reason for this is during the week of the event, teachers will be scheduling and timetabling which teacher you will be meeting with and this will be made visible on the day as you enter your child’s hub.
• We recommend you make a booking early to secure your preferred time slot. This is a face to face event.
• We encourage your children to be a part of the progress update with the teacher, however if you would prefer they are not part of the conversation we respect your preference.

| Making History Exhibition |

• We encourage you to come early before your 10 minute scheduled connect and enjoy the exhibition. You are also very welcome to stay after your progress update to further enjoy the learning on show. It is up to you on how long you would like to stay for the exhibition. We will be keeping to a tight schedule to ensure each person gets the most out of their 10 minute time slot.
• We encourage all our parents and family to attend the event, regardless of if you have booked in a progress update with your child’s hub teacher or not.

| New to Stonefields School? |

• Learners that joined Stonefields School at the start of Term 3, will instead have a 5 - 7 week connect and your hub teachers will be in direct contact with you.

| Important Information |

• School will close for all learners at 1.00pm in preparation for the event. Due to the building activities we will not be providing any supervision from 1.00pm - 3.00pm.
• For those families who utilise Kelly Club, they will commence from 1.00pm. Kelly Club will be located in the following spaces: 5-8 year olds in the library. 9-13 year olds in the staff hub section of the hall.

Taking Medication at School

Should your child need to take medication while at school (lunchtime etc.) we ask that the below process is followed:

• Please drop the medication off in the school office where the medication will be kept. You will need to complete a form, giving us permission to administer the medication.
• We ask that no medication is dropped off directly with the hub teacher or given to a staff member to keep the medication in the hub.
• No medication is to be kept in a learners bag.

Scholastic Book Club

Scholastic Book Club orders for issue no. 5 are now open.

The ordering process is completely paper-less, and the current brochure is available to view here. Paper copies of the Book Club catalogue have been distributed to each hub, so please ask your child to collect a copy from their hub if you would like to place an order, but would prefer to view the catalogue in paper form.

To place your order, please register using the LOOP website. You may then order on the website, or by using one of Scholastic's apps. Please do not return anything to school as all orders are processed through the LOOP system.
