In Term 3, we will continue working towards our learning exhibit that will focus on our ‘Stories of Lockdown’. We will then move towards a focus on ‘Stories of our Local Iwi’. It will be filled with varied learning opportunities and later in the term learners will be participating in the Manaiakalani Film Festival.
More information will be given around our team learning design as the term progresses.
Please join us on Thursday 6th August to celebrate our learning with us.
We're very much looking forward to sharing our incredible learning with you all!

Thank you to our whānau who participated in our Matariki Hīkoi. Learners enjoyed learning about the stories of the nine starts and other activities, but were sadly disappointed when teachers triumphed in the teacher vs learners ki-o-rahi.
Thank you to those that participated in the Family Led Conversations. We truly enjoyed hearing from each and everyone of you.
We have heard your voice and appreciate that whilst SchoolTalk is a great learning tool, it can sometimes be unclear how to best support learning at home. We really value your support with home learning, so to make it easier for you to support your child we have created an event on your child’s SchoolTalk calendar that will make learning tools easier to find.
These are resources that learners are familiar with and are used in class, and although the calendar event runs from 3:15 - 4:14 daily, there is no set expectation on how frequently these should be accessed.
Please speak with your child’s hub teachers if you would like any more tips or support with supporting your child with their learning.
We are excited to share two upcoming events as part of the Education Outside the Classroom learning this term.
The Year 5's will be going to Northern Rocks Bouldering Centre on the North Shore following a successful visit with last year's Year 5's. This trip is to promote problem solving capabilities, being determined and challenging ourselves to break ground.
The Year 6's "Have a Go" sailing that was due to happen in Term 1 or 2 has unfortunately been postponed indefinitely. In order to ensure our learners have an EOTC learning opportunity this year, our Year 6's will be taking part in a Snow Physical Education lesson at Snowplanet. This will challenge our learners in an unfamiliar environment to try a new skill and break ground. We are also pleased to be able to provide our Year 6's with a Snowplanet experience after the change in camp location this year.
Please keep an eye out for future communication about these trips including dates, permissions, costs and volunteering opportunities.
Thank you again for your ongoing support.
We look forward forward to another exciting term of learning, working hand-in-hand with you to achieve the best outcomes for your children.
