Welcome back to another exciting term of learning at Stonefields School.
Following lockdown, our Junior learners have transitioned beautifully back into school life. We are messaging the respect and value of looking after our property and respecting others.
Thank you for all that you did to support your children whilst we were in lockdown. The help you gave them was invaluable and we hope that you got a lot out of the experience yourself. From speaking with many of you at the Family Led Conferences, it certainly sounded to be the case!
It was fantastic to see how motivated our seniors were and the manner in which they took charge of their learning. Lockdown really did prove an authentic opportunity to live our school values. Such beautiful reflections followed, which we encourage you to come and see during our exhibition.
Please join us on Thursday 6th August to celebrate our learning with us.
We're very much looking forward to sharing our incredible learning with you all!

We are looking forward to showcasing our learning at our exhibition, that will focus on our ‘Stories of Lockdown’. We will then move towards a focus on ‘Stories of our Local Iwi’. It will be filled with varied learning opportunities to build our knowledge our our beautiful surrounds and the historical stories that are the foundation. We would love to hear from you if you have the knowledge around any of our local iwi stories. More communication will follow around learning hub's design for this concept.
Thank you to those that participated in the Family Led Conversations. We truly enjoyed hearing from each and everyone of you.
We have heard your voice and appreciate that whilst SchoolTalk is a great learning tool, it can sometimes be unclear how to best support learning at home. We really value your support with home learning, so to make it easier for you to support your child we have created an event on your child’s SchoolTalk calendar that will make learning tools easier to find.
These are resources that learners are familiar with and are used in class, and although the calendar event runs from 3:15 - 4:14 daily, there is no set expectation on how frequently these should be accessed.
Please speak with your child’s hub teachers if you would like any more tips or support with supporting your child with their learning.
Thank you again for your ongoing support.
We look forward forward to another exciting term of learning, working hand-in-hand with you to achieve the best outcomes for your children.
