Reflections on the year from SU President, Amaan...
"As the academic year and my term as Students' Union President comes to an end, I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on the year that has gone by so fast!
It was such a proud moment to see the college have so many triumphs this year, with getting a 'good' rating from Ofsted, and various staff and students receiving internal and external awards, it really shows what amazing people we have working and studying at our college.
I have really enjoyed my role this year, and my team of Students' Union Officers had a massive role to play in that. Their support was vital in the success of my term and I can’t thank them enough.
This role was quite eye opening for me, it helped me broaden my horizons and decide what I want to do after college. If I could do this all again I certainly would!
I encourage students who will be staying on at the college next year to really think about getting involved in the SU. It's a great opportunity to develop yourself as a person, your professional skills, and to help shape the college to be the best it can!"
