Learn some British Sign Language in College
We have recently launched extracurricular sessions for any students who want to learn some British Sign Language basics, from a student at the College.
This is a great opportunity to meet new people and expand your skills! Why not get involved and learn something new?!
These sessions run every Thursday 12:15-1pm in the Well-Being room in the Library at City campus.

LGBT+ & Women's Society
The LGBT+ and Womens’ Societies have joined together! This society acts a safe, social space to get to know each other and chat about experiences and topics that students feel passionately about. All are welcome!
Fundraising Club
The Fundraising Club meet to plan fundraising activities in College for varying charities, and then, with the support of staff, carry out the fundraising on campus.
They meet to plan fundraising activities every other Thursdays at 4:15pm in Upper Student Central at City campus.

Boxing Pads Sessions
The College has launched 'Boxing Pad Blast' sessions at City Campus.
These sessions are inclusive and open to all abilities, it is a chance to try out boxing using pads and gloves in a safe and controlled environment under expert coaching.
They take place on Thursday lunchtimes, and are a great opportunity to stay fit, and in doing so, help support your mental health.

Focus Group for Online Safety
The Sheffield Children’s Safeguarding Partnership wishes to speak with 10 students to understand their experience of the world online. With a view to them using their voice to inform safeguarding training in relation to Online Safety across the city for all professionals.
There will be snacks/refreshments available on the day. It will be on Wednesday 1st February 2023 at City campus.

The College Careers team have a drop-in service at City and Hillsborough campuses, which are open to all students, for quick queries and brief UCAS/CV support. The drop-in slots are as folllows;
City Campus (in Upper Student Central):
Wednesdays – 9:30‐10:30am
Thursdays – 1:00‐2:30pm
Fridays – 9:30‐10:30am
Hillsborough Campus (in Student Central):
Tuesdays – 11:00am-12:00pm
Thursdays – 1:00-2:00pm

Save the date for HEPP-Fest
HEPPSY's (Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire) HEPP-Fest will be running from Tuesday 7th February to Friday 10th February 2023. Join them for four days of free sessions to inspire, motivate and increase the confidence of students on their journey to Higher Education. Sessions will include guest speakers, external providers and more!

The art of selling yourself is integral for helping you to secure opportunities. Whether that's selling yourself on your CV, in job interviews, networking events or online, being able to communicate your strengths and skills confidently will help you to be successful. In this workshop hosted by Philanthropy Manager, Grace Brierley, you will develop strategies to help you talk positively about yourself to employers, including, how to put a positive spin on your weaknesses.
