Ongoing Maintenance of eBrary PDA Records

Deleted titles should be found, at least monthly. They should be matched with the catalog records and then those DDA titles removed from our collection.

Addition records may be filtered by selecting the desired set and then clicking the "MARC Records." This only works on the MARC additions. ebrary says that since all records are being deleted, there is no reason to filter on the deleted records and so there is no functionality to support that.

We also have eBrary records for purchased titles and Science & Technology through SUSLs.

Steps:

• 1. Download the latest deleted files (MARCDel.mrc)

  2. Export the following attributes (001, 003, 245$a, 245$b, 020, 035$a)

  3. Open in Excel

  4. Create a list of records by combining (FANhCcYBP) & the 001 values

1. Upload to Aleph Prod and retrieve matches by a ret-06

2. Evaluate any found records that are in the FADDA sublibrary

• • Purchased titles with perpetual access with have a 980 MARC field with the order number
