We have access to eJournals from the American Chemical Society Web Editions collection.
Titles lists and processing files are available here:
Z:\GenLoad\ACS
We have access to ACS Web Editions and Legacy Archive. This excludes the following titles:
Chemical & Engineering News Archive
Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, News Edition
News Edition, American Chemical Society
Procedure as of 9/22/2017
Once per month, we should check the KBART that ACS provides for any changes. The KBART has been reconciled against the OCLC KBARTS and the SerialsSolutions title lists. There are no titles in the Legacy KBART that are not also in the main KBART (the one from ACS and OCLC).
Go to this page: http://pubs.acs.org/action/institutionAdminSubscriptionManager
(log in required: see eResources)
(for help getting to above page - see deprecated procedures).
Download the Holdings File. It will include all titles from ACS. Delete all the eBook titles. Then compare to see if there are any changes compared to the reconciled KBART file here: z:\GenLoad\acs\ACS_KBART_RECON.xlsx
Any changes should be reviewed and resolved.
This procedure is deprecated as of 9/22/2017:
Once per month, we should check their site for new titles. However, we don't usually expect new titles. New titles will be listed here:
http://pubs.acs.org/action/institutionAdminSubscriptionManager
(log in required: see eResources)
Instead of using the Subscription list, which ACS broke in December 2016, use the holdings KBART and filter out the Serials. The spreadsheet contains an established list of titles with Bibs. Check for changes among the serials. If any new titles are found, verify access prior to cataloging.
Use the Excel Workbook to compare current title list versus prior title list:
Z:\GenLoad\ACS\ACS_New_Title_Check.xlsx
Any new titles should be cataloged.
