he following are a set of downloadable CAD files for student use. All AutoCAD files are in 2000 dxf format. If the download link fails, all files can be downloaded from links at the bottom of the page.

Bolt tap holes and clearance holes for Metric and English screws are posted in the the Little Machine Shop webpage.

Note: For inventor parts files, google sites tries to use Microsoft Word as the default program. To correct this, click "save" instead of "open" in the download prompt box, and your computer should recognize the Inventor file type and change to the correct default program.

   Contest Table

This is a f3d file containing a complete CAD model of the playing field for this quarter's contest.



Use this model for your robot animations. Note the files will load better if you extract the whole folder before you load it.

Gears

This is a zip file containing all of the pre-drawn gear files for various pitch sizes.

Note: You will need to give extra room between the pitch diameters. If you align the pitch diameters perfectly tangent, it will cause interference issues in the teeth. You can and should rotate and move gears to check proper placements.
TO USE IN INVENTOR:
-open .dwg file in inventor
-start a separate, brand new .ipt file
-start a new sketch in the .ipt file
-select all of the geometry in the .dwg
-Ctrl+C in the .dwg
-Ctrl+V in the .ipt
-click to place in the .ipt

Timing Belt Pulleys


This is file contains various pulleys for use with the robot kit timing belts.
TO USE IN INVENTOR:
-open .dwg file in inventor
-start a separate, brand new .ipt file
-start a new sketch in the .ipt file
-select all of the geometry in the .dwg
-Ctrl+C in the .dwg
-Ctrl+V in the .ipt
-click to place in the .ipt

This is file contains all the rack templates for every gear set and instructions for use.
TO USE IN INVENTOR:

NEVER press fit onto a motor shaft.

Note: this template is good for lasercamming. 3D printers usually print holes slightly small, so sizes will need to be adjusted. See here
