This lesson is for the counseling classroom from November 2nd through November 13th

Hey friends!

Before we get started with our character word for this month we want to review some of the strategies we have been practicing. Now we are going to review "Calm Down Strategies" and the Character Tree friends have made a video just for this very thing. Check it out here:

CALM DOWN STRATEGIES

We have just finished up our second month of counseling lessons and it is time for our third character word of the month! So far we have covered the character words CURIOSITY and EMPATHY. The character word for the month of November is CITIZENSHIP.

CITIZENSHIP means that you are part of a larger community, like a school, city, state or even a country. Being a good citizen means doing your share to make things better....this means that everyone needs to be a good citizen...even kids!

There are lots of ways to show CITIZENSHIP and to practice being a good citizen. What are some ways that you can be a good citizen at school? At home? Anywhere else?

CITIZENSHIP is very important and we are going to talk about Benjamin Franklin and how he show good CITIZENSHIP. Check out the video here:

Benjamin Franklin and CITIZENSHIP

Below are some activities about Benjamin Franklin that you can do at home:
