The Iowa Department of Education requires all physically able students to participate in Physical Education for a minimum of 900 minutes of physical activity during each semester they are enrolled. The following exceptions are provided by the Boone Community Schools Board of Education-1. Having a full academic schedule (needs counselor signature) 2. Students attend off campus schooling (needs counselor signature) 3. Student participates in qualifying Boone High School Athletic program. See below for waiver form.
