English 3B

Prerequisites: English 1A and 1B, English 2A and 2B, English 3A.

Course Description: English 3B is a continuation of a thematic approach to American literature. It includes the in-depth study of the novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and the play, Death of a Salesman. Students gain an understanding of American heritage and contemporary issues through reading and analyzing American nonfiction texts, short stories, and poetry. The course includes the planning, researching, and revising of a research project following Modern Language Association style.
