Here are some things we learned or observed by attending Children's Pastors Conference:
* One of the biggest challenges for CP's has been and continues to be finding volunteers.
* The participants are looking for solutions to their problems and quick fixes.
* You can find curriculum resources, but not much on how to be a great leader.
* CPC felt to me like an infomercial.
*There is a felt need for leadership training and a gap in the Children's ministry world for this type of training.
*Childrens Pastors feel alone and don't get a lot of support from their Sr. Pastors.
*A popular topic is around using technology to reach the kids - how kids are spending so much time in front of screens and the effect that is having. More vendors are starting to fill this gap by creating media-based bibles and interactive Bible video games.
*People are looking for curriculum that teaches deep biblical truths not fluff or just entertainment focused.
