When you do training sessions or workshops, consider giving your participants as many opportunities as possible to work together in groups. There are many advantages to cooperative learning:
Group work allows members to succeed in ways that they may not be able to on their own.
It builds a sense of community rather than isolation. No one wants to feel that they are out on an island.
They benefit from the insights of others in the group.
People tend to participate more when they are part of a group.
They feel less awkward speaking in a smaller group than to a much larger group.
The final product or project will often be greater than the work of one individual.
