Hello fellow ASL members! My name is Janell Rotella and I am a part-time student, full-time employee, mother and wife. I believe in challenging the status quo in life and proving that I can do anything I set my mind to.

Throughout my career, I gained a lot of hands on knowledge and became a well-rounded resource within the companies I’ve worked for. My experience is in accounting, analytics, human resources, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, logistics and sales. Not knowing fully what area I wanted to focus on in my career, I decided the best path to success would be through studying at UMUC for my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While taking the courses at UMUC, I learned that I enjoyed the management classes the most. In May of 2017, I completed my Bachelor’s degree, but it was very challenging. I was successful due to self-discipline but mainly due to the support system I had at home. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Management- Interdisciplinary Studies at UMUC with an expected completion date of May 2019.

My end goal is to enter a career in Business Management. I have gained a significant amount of respect for those in management positions and have learned a lot throughout the courses at UMUC. Once I complete the degree program, I look forward to putting all the knowledge gained to use.
