2009 Diwali

The Tallahassee Tamil Sangam's Diwali Festival was celebrated on Sunday, October 25, 2009 between 4 and 8 PM went very well. The date had to be postponed from Sat, Oct 17, 2009 (the actual date of Diwali) to this date due to conflicts of other celebrations. First we had some snacks and then ate the dinner rather than do the fireworks due to the fact sunlight still plentiful even at 7PM (day light saving time and the fact that Tallahassee lies almost the tail-end of the Eastern time zone). Then everyone young at heart lit fireworks. This was followed by some sweets and ice cream. By 8:45 we packed-up and left for home. The function's primary organizers are:
