Animation Water Effect ..... Waves

We need a decent photo in here to use ...... which one ?

Round things are good for this .......although the sunset will do nicely ..... right click on image .....

and save image as .... SunRefl.jpg

Ok now the animation ....... The reason for the Layer Dialog ..... is to see you have the correct edit selected ..... because we

now have two ..... one with one frame in it ........ and the other with six frames in it as shown below .......

Ok I guess we have got this far and now need some more information

I have added some information regarding the Titles of the Photo Files we are working on ....

You will know by the tiles one we started with is SunRefl.jpg the first imagebelow look in the brown title at the top of it .....

Ok now the animation .......has been created in a brand new file ..... the layers box shows all the frames ...

But now we have to run the Animation so pick Filters .... Animation ...... Playback .......

Your editing screen should look like this .....

And this one is called *Untitled-8.0 ....... we have just created this as a animation .......

And your Play screen should look like this .....with the play screen

Spinning Globe is good too and is very similar to create as above ........ hope all is ok ..... if not Su me ......

To save these files ....... always end the filename with .gif

This tells Gimp that its a animation file ..... the extensions used will automatically create the right file type ....
