The Local Shop - PC a Quad 6600

In a village in France

When will it work at its best and what operating system should it use ? ............................................

Tried these ........

Sam - Latest PclinuxOS - many languages - looks good

Vista - Takes a while to Install on computer - graphics look good.

Freespire - Boot Live CD - nice Freespire Logo and moving block to let you know it is doing something.

Live CD - OpenOffice already installed, plus codecs etc for running films etc worked straight away and music.

Initial thoughts - ok

Ubuntu - Boot Live CD - nice Ubuntu Logo and moving block to let you know it is doing something.

Live CD - OpenOffice already installed, but no codecs for films, and no music.

Initial thoughts - ok
