Split Pea & Ham

2 1/4 Cups Dried Split Peas

1 1/2 Pounds Ham Bone With Meat

1 Pinch Dried Marjoram

3 Stalks Celery, Chopped

3 Carrots, Chopped

2 Potato, Diced

2 Cloves Garlic, Minced

4 (10.5 Once) Cans Chicken Broth

2 Bay Leaves

1 TSP Chopped Fresh Rosemary

1 TSP Salt

1/4 TSP Pepper

1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

Pour the split peas into a crock pot on low. Add everything except the cream. Let cook for about 6 to 8 hours or until the peas dissipate. Remove bone and return meat to soup. Stir well and add the cream before serving. Add more chicken broth if the soup looks too thick.

You can add one small chopped onion if you like.

Do not eat bay leaves.
