Hello to all you robotics fans.

For the 10th year in a row the Baltimore SDIY Group will once again be providing electronic music sound effects for the 18th Annual RobotFest, http://www.robotfest.com on 04/27/2019. The electronic musicians in attendance will be myself, Logan Mitchell Sr aka "Synth Tech Project" & Arthur Harrison of Harrison Instruments who makes his own theremins http://harrisoninstruments.com/ . I will also have my app-controlled Star Wars automated robots there on display.

PUBLIC TRANSIT ACCESS INFO:

(MTA) Maryland Transit Administration - https://www.mta.maryland.gov/

The MTA's #75 bus (LocalLink 75 - Patapsco LR to Arundel Mills / Parkway Center), will take you to Elkridge Landing Road where you get off & walk over to the corner of Elkridge Landing Road & West Nursery Road, then proceed up the small hill on West Nursery Road to the museum on your right-hand side. Look for the large antenna displays on the side & in the front of this single-level building which is right next to the Marriott Hotel.

The #75 bus starts at Patapsco Light Rail station, marked as ARUNDEL MILLS, going to Arundel Mills mall, and runs once an hour on Saturdays from 6:30 am until 10:45pm. It also picks up & drops off passengers at the MTA Light Rail Link train's BWI Business District stop, which is right around the corner from the museum.

You must use the Light Rail Link train that is marked BWI AIRPORT (Southbound direction) in order to get to the BWI Business District stop if your are traveling from a Northerly location. This particular Light Rail Link train goes right to BWI Airport then stops just outside of the baggage claim area of the airport's lower level. If you are coming from a BWI Airport inbound flight or from the Maryland MARC commuter train's Penn Line stop at the BWI Rail Station stop (https://s3.amazonaws.com/mta-website-staging/mta-website-staging/files/Routes+Schedules/marc_penn-washington.pdf), then the light rail train will be marked either Penn Station or Hunt Valley, in which case the train is travelling in a Northerly direction & you are only one stop from the BWI AIRPORT stop to the BWI BUSINESS DISTRICT stop where you can take the #75 bus from there to the corner of W. Nursery Road & Elkridge Landing Road. The museum is right up the street from that intersection. Be sure to pay the $1.90 one-way fare or purchase a DAY PASS for $4.40 at the MTA's ticket vending machine as the MTA's police force will randomly check to see that you've paid the fare. If you have not, they will gladly give you a $75.00 citation just before they escort you off the train.

The MTA's base fare as of June 25th 2019 (http://mta.maryland.gov/regular-fares) is $1.90 for a one-way fare or $4.40 for a DAY PASS which is good on all MTA local buses, metro subway & light-rail trains from 5:00 am of the present day until 3:00 am the next day.
