An Die Musik 2011 Electronica Fest Three

Hello to all. This Electronic Music/Experimental Music/Electro-Acoustic Music event, herein known as AN DIE MUSIK 2011 ELECTRONICA FEST THREE, is being sponsored by members of The Baltimore SDIY Group & Friends.

This will be our third time having an event such as this at An Die Musik LIVE so we greatly appreciate their hospitality. Thank you so very very much for being so kind to us.

This August 13th 2011 event is the third one of three with the other two scheduled for July 16th & July 30th of 2011, so please check An Die Musik LIVE's calendar for those dates, http://www.andiemusiklive.com/calendar.cfm.

Current Lineup of Performing Artists as of 08/02/2011:

1. 7:00pm to 7:30pm - "Music From The Film" - Art Harrison on Theremin & Gary Young on various electro-acoustical instruments featuring Kevin Buckholdt http://www.myspace.com/musicfromthefilm.

Improvisational and eclectic, Music From The Film combines electronic and amplified acoustic instruments. Many of the electronic sources are unique one-of-a-kind circuits designed by Arthur Harrison. His collaborator, Gary Young, is a veteran of the alternative music community with previous affiliations to the bands New Killers On The Block, Bone Bunny, Entfred and Drooling Zoomers. 2. 7:45pm to 8:15pm - Stefan Prosky

Stefan Prosky is a scientist/technology artist who feels that sound/noise is a essential part of contemporary music. His electronic instruments of choice are various windsynths, the Eigenharp Tau, http://www.eigenlabs.com/tau/, and electronic instruments of his own, the Squax, An Audy (audiuno) & the Sourpuss Sequencer. Mr. Prosky has a minor in music from Rutgers University and an MFA in Computer Art from SVA. He loves his current day job as Professor of Motion Graphics & Visual Effects at the Art Institute of Washington. Mr. Prosky has played in various bands in Boston, Ma and currently is a member of 2 bands in the DC area, the Reggae group; the Blinded Camels, http://www.myspace.com/blindedcamels, & the free improv group; No Beta.

3. 8:30pm to 9:00pm - "Mercury Fools the Alchemist" - Jeff Bagato, Richard Sheehe & Daniel Barbiero

"Chamber psychedelia" from trio of avant classical bass (Daniel Barbiero of Nine Strings, Mindbreath Trio, etc), ambient guitar (Rich Sheehe of Field Shaman), and a homemade "stone age synthesizer" dubbed the "springamajig" (Jeff Bagato, aka Tone Ghosting) produces chimerical cacaphony for mystical journeys.

4. 9:15pm to 9:45pm - "Echolalianova" - Amber Dunleavy

Amber Dunleavy is an experimental musician from Northern VA. She began playing the theremin in the late 1990s after receiving a Moog Etherwave as a gift from her dad. She enjoys jamming and recording with various friends in the DC metropolitan area. She also performs solo under the artist name Echolalia. 5. 10:00pm to 10:30pm - "Peaks" - Patrick Rife www.peaks.bandcamp.com

Patrick Rife has long been engaged in the act of manipulating sounds; via song-writing, textural extractions, soundscapes, sample appropriation etc. Patrick's focus is on creating beautiful sonic environments that transport the listener to places unexpected. His work often employs samples ranging from sounds of war to sounds of whales to sounds of babes or sounds of hail and more often than not varies dramatically.

This venue sells beer, wine & water. No outside food or drink is allowed.
