This unique outdoor festival is now in its 8th year running, so please come on out to enjoy a truly fantastic day of free lectures, yoga, meditation, workshops, knob twisting, pitch bending, wiring mazes, sound shaping & visual explosions that will coincide with some absolutely awesome musical voyages into another galaxy of sound alterations. Current Lineup of Baltimore SDIY Group Performers as of 04/16/2013:

1. "HALKEN is: Hal Schmulowitz on synthesizers and ipad, and Kenneth Donnelly on guitar and synthesizer. We have been individually on the local electronic music scene for several years both solo and as part of other groups. We create a blend of space/soundscape/psychedelic music that is largely improvised, and have been jamming and recording since summer 2012."

My inspiration comes from groups such as Emerson Lake & Palmer, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk & Triumvirat as well as individual keyboardists such as Keith Emerson, George Duke, Bernie Worrell, Gary Wright, Gregg Rolie & Don Preston, who I've had the pleasure to meet in person.
