Baltimore Electronic Music 2010 FallFest at Rams Head Live photos

The Baltimore SDIY Group & Friends had a very successful first ever show at Rams Head Live on Thursday Oct 28th 2010. The show was billed as The Baltimore Electronic Music 2010 Fallfest.

Rams Head Live is a fantastic venue with a large stage, fantastic sound system & an excellent lighting system as well as very courteous & friendly staff.

All of us were really psyched up about playing at this venue as it is a big name location. It has been a long term goal of mine to be able to have whatever group that I was involved with to be able to play at Rams Head Live

For a while there it looked like the show was going to be cancelled because of low ticket sales, so through the generosity of our family members, friends & audience members, enough tickets were sold to keep this event alive because we as well as the audience believe in what we're doing. To make a dream come true you sometimes have to make sacrifices in order to get to that goal if you truly want it to happen.

To everyone who helped us to reach our goal of being able to play at Rams Head Live, I want to personally thank you for your kindness, generosity & belief in us as well.

A big thanks goes out to Mike Cobaria, Dave Vosh, Ken Donnelly, Stuart Rosenzweig, Richard Desimone, Mike Smith & Rob Neubauer for truly unique & fantastic performances. Also to Joseph Meyer for the intermission music & the wonderful big-screen visuals. Job well done guys.

To my good friends Leslie Hendricks of Visual Effects Video Productions, http://visualfxvideo.com/, & his cousin Warren Morris Jr for videotaping all of our performances. I looked at the DVD copies that you gave me & I like what I see and hear. Fantastic job guys, well done.

I'd like to graciously thank the following Rams Head Live staffmembers for a job well done -

Jeremy Reichwein- the stage monitor technician, thank you so much for your attentiveness to making sure that we had the correct equipment connections on stage & the correct stage monitor levels. Thank you so much.

Al Carr & Todd Smith - the Front-Of-House P.A. & lighting systems techs. Man, you guys did one hell of a job on the P.A. & lighting, especially on my song Mayday Mayday Mayday with the lights flashing, the red lights at the end & your absolutely brilliant use of the reverb to echo fade-in on Richard Desimone's voice as he recited the last phrases of the song. In looking at each person's performance on the DVD recording that we had done, you intuitively & expertly provided the appropriate lighting for each act which definitely added to the event's visual appeal. Hats off to you sirs.

Ramon "Boo" Valdez, the Production Manager of Rams Head Live, for your friendliness & willingness to meet with me weeks in advance of the show & explain how the logistics of this event would work for us. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

And last but not least, to Mark Mangold, the booking manager for Rams Head Live. Mark, when you & I first talked on August 25th about the possibility of booking us at Rams Head Live we were both wondering if something like this could be pulled off. Soon afterwards you decided to take a chance & book us, for which all of us are humbly & eternally grateful, because you believed in us enough to give us local folks the chance to shine. We can never thank you enough for what you & your crew have done for us.

This show is the starting point for us to eventually be able to play at other local professional venues that are similar to Rams Head Live.

Thank you so very very much.
