Current Lineup of Performers as of 09/02/2011:

1. 12:00pm - 12:30pm: Fast Forty (Keith Sinzinger) & Ryan Jordan http://www.myspace.com/fastforty

Keith Sinzinger (Fast Forty) combines home-built instruments, circuit-bent devices, found sounds and miscellaneous junk to create what he calls Intense Ambient. A lifelong newsman based in Washington, D.C., he records at District of Chaos Studios and has performed at shows sponsored by Sonic Circuits, Electric Possible and the Baltimore SDIY Group, among others.

Recently relocated to the Washington D.C., area, Ryan Jordan is a multi-instrumentalist whose musical influences encompass the nuances of third stream jazz and contemporary classical music. He is currently working as a freelance composer/arranger and continues to perform in a variety of groups encompassing jazz, free improvisation and solo electronics.

2. 12:45pm - 1:15pm: The Duc D'Angelos (John Sullivan, Ed Baldi & Jeremy Berlin) http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?AID=692075&T=7761

The whole of Duc D’Angelos is greater than the sum of its parts; each component may influence other components in a web of incentives, constraints and connections. The slightest change in one part causes tremors everywhere else. The Duc D'Angelos Quartet is dedicated to the idea of non-linear performance. It is music. It is musical form of sound and silence over time but there is no utilitarianism in their approach. They are not useful. They create for the moment, without premeditation. It is décor. It is graffiti via device.

3. 1:30pm - 2:00pm: Tangent (Stuart Rosenzweig & Michael "Mike" Jeffries)

My interest in electronic music was kindled when I was 10 and saw (and heard!) Forbidden Planet

on a Sunday afternoon movie. My interest moved from passive listening (lots of 70's european progressive and

space rock) to active participation in 1975 when I built a my first synth, a Paia 2720 modular, convinced

that it would sound like a Minimoog for a fraction of the cost. About that time, I first met Stuart Rosensweig

and we began to improvise electro-musical marathons on weekends. The marathons continue (after a 30 year pause) to the present day. Other musical "genres" that have influenced me include film scores, throat singing, academic

50's tape music, satellite transmissions, field recordings, and early 80's synth pop. Some of the musicians/artists who have been heroes of mine at one time or another include Mort Subotnick, Frank Zappa, Peter Hammill/ Van

Der Graaf Generator, Larry Fast, Tom Waits, and Bernie Krause. --Michael Jeffries--

My musical influences are Ray Manzarek, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, John Cage, Gary Neuman, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Peter Paul and Mary, David Bowie, Ninch Inch Nails, Megadeth and last but not least by my fellow SDIY (Synthesizer Do It Yourself) comrades. --Stuart Rosenzweig--

4. 2:15pm - 2:45pm: International Electromatics (Dave Vosh & Frank Vanaman) http://www.myspace.com/safe00

http://frank.gadgetland.net/

Dave Vosh has been experimenting with electronic music since the 1970s and live performance since 2005 in various solo, duo and trio projects involving modular synthesizers and other devices.

Frank Vanaman can usually be found playing popular tunes of the 1920s and 1930s. His presence here is something of an anomaly.

5. 3:00pm - 3:30pm: Arthur Loves Plastic (Bev Stanton) http://www.arthurlovesplastic.blogspot.com/

Bev Stanton was born in the Bahamas and raised near Walt Disney World. Stanton has gained recognition as a "remix master" (Washington Post) for deconstructing DC artists such as folksinger Lisa Moscatiello. Her solo material, which combines the quirkiness of Bjork, and the ennui of Moby, has won over a dozen Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES) in the Electronica category.

Her music has appeared in shows on the Discovery Channel, VH1, MTV and other cable television networks. Stanton is one of 24 female electronic artists and deejays profiled in Pink Noises: Women in Electronic Music and Sound (Tara Rodgers; Duke University Press, 2010), alongside DJ Rekha and Le Tigre. Ever embracing new technologies, Stanton's recently released a 30-minute download EP influenced and created with iPhone applications.

6. 3:45pm - 4:15pm: Synth Tech Project (Logan Mitchell Sr) http://sites.google.com/site/synthtechproject

I've been interested in electronic music since my teenage years & have many influences such Herbie Hancock, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Bernie Worrell, Don Preston, Billy Preston, Larry Dunn, Greg Phillinganes, Robert Brookings III, Richard Tee, Don Grolnick, Jason Miles, Gregg Rolie, Tom Coster, Billy Beck, Richard Lainhart, Steely Dan, Terry Trotter, Richard Kermode, George Duke, Tangerine Dream, Gary Wright, Triumvirat, Pink Floyd, Synergy (Larry Fast), Jon Lord, Larry Willis, Chick Corea, Jan Hammer, Wendy Carlos, Kraftwerk, etc. --Logan Mitchell Sr--

7. 4:30pm - 5:00pm: Carlos Guillen (The Expanding Man) & Mike Castor http://www.myspace.com/theexpandingman

"THE EXPANDING MAN - performing name of Carlos Guillen, Baltimore-based audio engineer and sound designer. Combining drum sampling and electric guitar, The Expanding Man pulls from trip-hop, free improv, and jazz-rock influences to create instrumental music with a narrative feel. Carlos does theatrical sound design for The Mobtown Players, and is audio engineer for the yearly High Zero festival at the Theatre Project."

8. 5:15pm - 5:45pm: MIDI Users' Group (Travis Hallenbeck & Paul Slocum) http://www.anotherunknowntime.com/mug.html

MIDI Users' Group will connect MIDI keyboard/drum machine controllers, Travis Hallenbeck's MIDI loopers, delay, and sound modules with Paul Slocum's recently created iPhone sampler app, Sir Sampleton, and his visualization iPhone/iPad app, Magic Carpet, projected (both with MIDI control).

Travis Hallenbeck lives in Baltimore and is from Atlanta. He has performed at Eyedrum in Atlanta, Eyebeam in NYC, Telic in LA, and hundreds of basements, houses and clubs.

Paul Slocum is an independent artist, curator, and musician living in Brooklyn, and former director of And/Or Gallery in Dallas, TX. His work often addresses computer technology and culture. Some of Paul's performances and exhibitions include The New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, Deitch Projects in New York, Transitio MX in Mexico City, README 2005 in Denmark, The Liverpool Biennial, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.

9. 6:00pm - 6:30pm: Thrillsville (Mike Simons, Robb Pearsall & Ted Staley) http://www.myspace.com/thrillsvilleband

Thrillsville is a 3 piece band staring: Robb Pearsall on guitar and vocals, Mike Simons on bass, and Ted Staley on drums and backing vocals. A few of our influences are The Cramps, The Ventures, and Link Wray. Song samples at: http://www.myspace.com/thrillsville

10. 6:45pm - 7:15pm: Bear and Lampshade (Rob Neubauer & Esmail Hamidi) http://www.myspace.com/bearandlampshade

Bear and Lampshade is Rob Neubauer (Synthesizers/Drum Machines/Sampling/Guitar/Bass), Mike Smith (Vocals, Impressions, Props, Dance), and Todd Johnston (Vocals, Bent Electronics, Turntable, Fuzz) playing a style of avant-garde new wave pop influenced by everything from film scores to experimental electronica and punk rock. The group formed to be able to experiment with audio without the intention of fitting in with certain scenes, while still attempting to create a consumable product. Live performances borrow from the members' theater backgrounds to make them more than just musical experiences. They play everything from any type of concert festival to bar mitzvahs.

11. 7:30pm - 8:00pm: micFreak (Mike Cobaria) http://www.myspace.com/micfreak

From Manila to Arizona, now in Baltimore! The name micFreak was never really intended to be used as an artist name. It was an email address that mic used as an alias in joining egroups. Music runs in mic's blood. He started learning the violin at 8, the piano at 12 but wasn't that happy in playing traditional music. He learned to play the guitar, bass and keyboard during his high school years and joined several new wave bands. His college years was a different trip, he joined an r&b band and played keyboards. Playing other artists songs wasn't mic's calling so he started searching for a new musical direction and eventually found a road that lead to electronica after watching the movie "The Saint" with Val Kilmer which featured the Chemical Brothers' track "The Setting Sun". Listening to artists like OMD, Depche Mode and New Order in his teens, mic easily understood how electronic music could be produced so he bought a pc and learned about MIDI w/ Cakewalk V6. Years later he has developed his own sound fusing melody and harmony with a strong sense of rhythm. Now focusing on dance music micFreak is ready to conquer a new genre of electronic music that would surely be one of a kind. Read more:http://www.myspace.com/micfreak#ixzz0ynWget1c
