Seattle Ground controls all movement areas east of 16L/34R.
This includes all runway exits to Taxiway Bravo, Taxiway Alpha, Taxiway Golf, and Taxiway Yankee (Not on the ASDE-X yet)
16L/34R and movement areas to the west belong to TWR
Assign all departing aircraft runway 16L/34R unless otherwise coordinated with Local.
Assign intersection departures when an operational advantage will be gained.
Do not authorize intersection departures for turbojets and 4-engine props, except runway 34R at Taxiway Q, unless there is an operational necessity.
Ground controllers may not taxi an aircraft until they have been issued the IFR or VFR clearance. All aircraft must have a clearance to depart from KSEA because its a Class Bravo.
All runway crossings should be handed off to local control.
Aircraft exiting 16L/34R may enter Taxiway B before contacting Ground. Ground shall instruct other aircraft to give way to these aircraft.
Aircraft at Transient GA parking (Signature) should be handed off to West Tower (120.95) for taxi.
The diagram to the left shows wingspan restrictions.
The > 260' restrictions basically only apply to the A380. Notice this includes 16L/34R.
Also note that if a Group 6 aircraft using 16L/34R, no other Group 6 aircraft may be operating on taxiway B, unless they are south of taxiway S.
This basically applies to the A380 as well as the 747-8 and 777-8/9
Older versions of the 747 and 777 are Group 5
The 777-8/9 is Group 5 with wings folded
Use caution if instructing aircraft to proceed via taxilane W.
This blocks aircraft from pushing from the adjacent gates
There are wingspan limitations
The wingspan limitations change abeam taxiway N
Used if any active runway is reporting an RVR of < 1200'
South flow only
ASDE-X required if RVR < 600'
All arrivals should be exiting on P or Q
