Health/PE Course Description

Health and Wellness this year will center on students health bridging the connection between students health with their community. Health will center around nutrition, exercise, community, and social emotional wellness. In PE students will work on basic skills development of movement and agility.

What is mental health for middle schoolers?

Mental Wellbeing: Being able to handle the stressful and unexpected things that happen in daily life. Managing thoughts, feelings, and actions positively.


Physical Health

Why is physical activity important for students?

Regular physical activity can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions such as: Heart disease.


Social Health

Why is social health important for students?

Maintaining an optimal level of social wellness allows you to build healthy relationships with others. Having a supportive social network allows you to develop assertive skills and become comfortable with who you are in social situations. ...
