About Ms. Enlow

Hello and welcome!

I'm Ms. Enlow and this is my 5th year teaching ELA (English Language Arts) at Young Scholars! For those of you who attended YSCS last year you may remember me as the 7th grade ELA teacher, but this year I'm moving to the 8th grade with you!

My philosophy for education is that learning happens not only when we study what others have done, but when we try it out ourselves so students in my class always learn through creating. In addition to teaching during my time at Young Scholars I have coached track, been a member of the Anti-Racism and Equity Committee, and this year have joined the Student Life Committee.

Outside of work you can find me going to concerts, hiking, or advocating for change to make our society better.

The top photo is a screenshot of zoom from spirit week in 2021. Each box features someone wearing a hat including Ms. Enlow, Mr. Blumenthal, several students, and one cat wearing a hoodie.

The second photo is of Ms. Enlow, Ms. Goldstein, and many students in 2020 dressed up as the rival gangs from The Outsiders. On the left are the "greasers" wearing leather jackets, blue jeans, and t-shirts. On the right are the "socs" wearing sweaters and button ups.

The third photo is of Ms. Enlow and some of her students in 2019 visiting the NBC 10 studios in the Comcast building. We are all wearing red lanyards that got us through security and posing in front of a control room where you can see many small screens with different things on them.

The final photo is a selfie of Ms. Enlow and her homeroom students in 2018 after our class won the YSCS Olympics. We are all smiling and students have their fingers showing "W" (for winners), a peace sign, and a thumbs up.
