• Create element superhero's to understand properties of different elements and how they interact with one another

• Identify natural resources, their importance, and what makes them up

What is happening in 7th Grade Science?

In 7th Grade Science there are four modules:

1. What Makes Up Earths Natural Resources?

2. How Can I Make New Substances From Old Substances?

3. What Do I Have In Common With Planet Earth?

4. What Can Cause Population To Change?

In 7th grade science we strive to answer these questions and many more! Using the IQWST inquiry-based curriculum, your scholar will dive into topics related to the nature of matter, physical and chemical change, how our bodies interact with the earth and environment, and how we can take action to develop a more sustainable future. This year scholars will learn about life science, earth science, physical science, chemical science, and some engineering design. Our curriculum takes a discussion based focus where students help to drive topics forward as they are learning. This class will engage in a few projects as well as labs to aid and explore science topics. This year will be challenging, but rewarding as scholars grow towards being inquisitive, scientific investigators.
