We believe (and research shows) that for students to be truly successful in life beyond our school and 8th grade they need to go through a process of identity formation (this is the developmental moment of adolescence and becoming adults). This process is left out of most school curriculum but we prioritize it by creating gradewide identity themes:

6th Grade: Where am I from?

7th Grade: Who am I?

8th Grade: What can I do?

We also have morning lessons that help students explore these questions. We hope these 3 questions will be a foundation of self-discovery that they will return to over and over throughout their life times.
