Hey it's Mr. Canary!
Students will study world history from the earliest civilizations to the Modern Day. They will compare cultures in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas by applying skills in geography and chronology. They will analyze religious, cultural, and economic similarities and differences, and identify forms of government and sources of political tension. Students will also study longitudinal developments in the history of art, science, political philosophy, and economic theory in order to develop a strong understanding of the institutions that define the modern world. The course features a combination of text comprehension tasks, lecture, research, and peer-review to develop students’ historiography skills.
