Jamboard
From the first lockdown we learned that what students missed the most was the interactivity of live lessons. Hopefully this time, the switch to live lessons (through Zoom or Google Meet) will address this somewhat, but what digital tools are best to maximise this interactivity?
I have used Jamboard in face-to-face classes before, but using it during my live lessons this week has convinced me that it really is your “Remote Learning Hero”.
As Becky Rogers showed you in term one, Jamboard is a collaborative online whiteboard that when used in the right way, can generate debate, discussion as well as collect feedback from students.
It is particularly useful when students do not have microphones or just don’t like to speak up online. It is low prep but super powerful and practical. It is a game changer in terms of collaboration!
Please find below a repeat of Becky's beautifully clear demonstration of the main features and tools, followed by my video of just some of the ways that you could use Jamboard in your live classroom!
This video explains how to provide students with editing access to your Jamboard so that they can collaborate with you. It also demonstrates a handful of ways that you can share that link with your students during a live class.
