Hi Teachers,
This week's Digi-Mail is sponsored by Google Slides. If you are anything like me, you will be constantly racking your brain each week to think of new activities to plan for your students, or simply new and creative ways to pimp up your favourites...especially when setting remote learning. I LOVE Google Slides. It can do, and be, pretty much anything. Kasey Bell from shakeuplearning.com refers to it as the swiss army knife of the G-Suite Apps.
It does not just have to be used as a presentation tool (even though it is Google's version of PowerPoint!) it has so much potential for student creativity and collaboration. So, forget the dull written report, or the dry research presentation, with some imagination (or the right ready-made template) Google slides can be an awesome way for students to demonstrate their learning.
In terms of resources, I have cherry picked 3 of my favourite blog posts below (please click on the pictures to play) as well as listed a handful more in the extras section. These are just the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty more online. Just Google.
Regards,
Danny
P.S. If you find any other cool templates, please send them my way. I'm a Google Slides geek!
