Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats, and digital media appropriate to their goals. Students:
a. Choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication.
b. Create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.
c. Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively by creating or using a variety of digital objects such as visualizations, models or simulations.
d. Publish or present content that customizes the message and medium for their intended audiences.
I believe I met this standard of being a Creative Communicator because I was able to express myself as a person and future educator using Google Classrooms, a technology that I was previously unaware of and had no knowledge of prior to this assignment. I met all of the objectives that I needed to by creating assignments spread out between 5 weeks, as well as creating class discussions and welcome messages to my students on my dashboard/classroom feed. I used different forms of assignments for my students to complete, such as simply reading articles, completing assignment sheets, taking quizzes, etc. Finally, this content is customized solely for my students. They're able to easily access the content I've provided and the page is appropriate for the ages I intend to teach (grades 7-12).
I would use a learning management system to help me layout my classroom activities and put in any important information or media that I'm using in my classroom that students can refer back to. I can even create my own online class for distance or online students and place any and all assignments, tests, etc. on the learning mangement system.Â
