OFF CAMPUS PROGRAMS [Program Video]
Off Campus Programs include five fields of exploration, each offering the student the opportunity to explore career interests and discover and enhance their aptitudes in meaningful work environments.
HCS3000: Workplace Safety Systems - Grade 10 Students - 1 credit
In this course students will learn about workplace safety, hazard management and legislation. When students finish HCS3000 they will be able to begin any of the Off Campus Programs.
Work Experience Program:
An opportunity to explore a career interest while gaining experience in the workplace.
Earn 3 – 30 credits
Green Certificate Program
Apprenticeship style training on any farm or ranch offering a choice of nine career-specific specializations, earning the student a Production Technician Certificate.
Earn 16 credits at the 30 level
RAP (Registered Apprenticeship Program)
Students become a Registered Apprentice in one of over 50 possible trades. They earn 1st year apprentice hours in paid jobs.
Earn 5 - 40 RAP credits
Dual Credits
WCPS has partnered with select Alberta colleges and universities to design courses for students in Grade 11 and 12. These courses allow students to work towards their high school diploma while earning post-secondary credential or course credits in a variety of areas including the trades, business school, nursing, hospitality and tourism.
