Independent Studies

INDEPENDENT STUDIES - 1 or more credits

Students registered at LCHS who need to register for a particular course because of timetable conflicts or are short credits to graduate, may be given the opportunity to complete courses independently. Students register with the Principal, Mrs. Yaremchuk. Students are then directed to meet with the Independent Learning teacher who distributes the lessons, monitors progress, provides assistance and evaluate the completed modules. Course selection is limited to the expertise of the supervising teacher and other staff members willing to assist. A $35/course fee is required for Independent Studies. This fee is non-refundable and an additional fee may be added if course materials have been damaged or lost. Students must complete the courses within the school year as this program does not operate during the summer months.
