Principal’s Message & Welcome Video

How important is proper course selection in high school? As you read through the information on courses and opportunities at LCHS, I would challenge each of you to take the time to ask questions, research and understand what options are available to you.

LCHS encourages students to select a variety of courses, especially at the grade ten level, in order to determine areas of interests, aptitudes and strengths. For example, course offerings in Career and Technology Studies (CTS) and Fine Arts are gateways to possible career choices upon completion of grade twelve. The challenge is to set goals for yourself early in your high school career and take advantage of the many opportunities available to you at LCHS. Please understand though that course success is dependent on attendance and completion of course outcomes.

Using course information and watching introductory videos is the first step in making informed decisions on your course selections and your career planning. My advice is to take the time to read, watch and discuss this information and your goals with as many people as possible. Your success and future are depending on it.
