I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their cooperation during this morning’s call to “Secure” the campus. The WHS staff responded quickly, ushering students into the buildings and monitoring doors throughout the event. We will be evaluating our response to identify what went well and where we can improve. Additionally, please encourage your students to wear their badges at all times during school hours. This incident emphasizes the importance of having students wear their badges, as it allows us to quickly identify who is on campus and whether they belong at WHS.
This week has been busy with the overlap of spring and winter sports. WHS students have been actively competing in Boys and Girls Track, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, UIL Academics, Speech and Debate, Band and Color Guard, and Dance. As always, our students are performing well, with notable achievements including Texan Hoops playing tonight for the Area Championship, Speech and Debate competing in a qualifying tournament for Nationals, Dance bringing home numerous trophies from their competition last weekend, and 18 Band members advancing to State for solo and ensemble.
Lastly, throughout the week, our counselors have been meeting with every student to assist them with their course selections. Please note that these selections are not final and do not guarantee that students will receive every course they choose. However, it provides us with important information that allows us to build the 2026-2027 Master Schedule and make staffing decisions that best serve our students.
Best of luck, and Go Texans!

The Wimberley High School chapter of the National Honor Society will induct its newest members on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30 pm in the Lone Star Theater. New members are asked to arrive by 6:15 pm to be seated alphabetically for the ceremony. Family members are welcome to attend. New members were notified of their acceptance at school during the week of February 9th.
STUDENT PARKING
With warmer weather, we are seeing an increase in students parking in undesignated areas and leaving campus without permission.
Starting this week, students parked in undesignated areas (CTE, Emily Ann, or Ag) will receive a green parking citation ($10 fine), and vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense. Students who leave campus without permission or who do not properly sign out through the front office will receive one day of ISS.
Students with parking fines will not be able to purchase Prom tickets and will be placed on the graduation fines list. Note that students on the fines list are unable to exempt Spring Finals. Parking permits are available in the AP’s office.
Students without permits may park in the band parking lot by the tennis courts without penalty.

FAST FORWARD
FAST Forward is a free, self-paced college readiness program designed to help students feel more confident and prepared as they transition into college. The program focuses on strengthening math and English skills while helping students better understand what to expect academically before starting their coursework. FAST Forward can help students prepare for the TSI exam and may improve their performance. Additionally, some colleges and universities may recognize completion of FAST Forward as an indicator of college readiness.
The program is delivered through EdReady, an online learning platform that adapts to meet students exactly where they are. After completing a short diagnostic, students receive a personalized learning plan that focuses only on the skills they need to strengthen. Students can move at their own pace and complete the program on their own schedule.
