1/19 - No School - MLK Day of Service
1/20 - Last Senior Photo Day (see info below)
1/28-29 - Juniors at JKR - (Parents/Guardians of Juniors check your email for permission slip)
The first week of the second semester, and we are looking forward to a fantastic year in 2026. If you are a parent of a senior, it will go by fast, so don't blink! Basketball and Soccer seasons are well underway. Speech and Debate is on the road this weekend to an invitation in Waco. Cheer is preparing for the UIL State Spirit Competition in Dallas next week. They will have a show-out next Wednesday at 6:30 in Texan Gym if you want to see their routine and encourage them.
It won't be long before students begin registering for next year's classes. Several important dates regarding the SAT, ACT, and TSI will be announced by the counseling office, so please stay tuned for that information. Each week will bring something new, and I urge you not to procrastinate. Stay on top of your academics by attending tutorials, submitting your work on time, and communicating with your teachers. It's also crucial to enjoy the moment and not take it for granted, especially for seniors and their parents.
Lastly, Monday, the 19th, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and we typically observe this day with a community service project where our various student organizations come together for a district-wide campus clean-up.
Go Texans!
