10/31 - No School/Staff Work Day
11/11 - Veterans Day Program (stay tuned for more on this)
11/24 - 11/28 - Thanksgiving Break (no school)
It has been an exciting week as we approach Halloween and celebrate and recognize the Seniors in Band, Cheer, Drill Team, Football, and Volleyball. The Senior pep rally was a lot of fun, and I am looking forward to the Senior Class walking the field after the football game tonight. It is one more chance to soak up the memories as we host the last home football game of the season.
If you missed the pep rally today, we recognized those students who received the Upstander Award. This award is designed to recognize and honor students who stand up for others and make a positive impact within our school. This is an initiative that we do each year within our student-led Texan Roots Council during October, which is Bullying Prevention Month. These students were nominated by the TRC and voted on by their teachers. These students are:
Evie Junkin
Danika Patek
Rhett Rosborough
Maverick Jacobs
We are also grateful to our corporate sponsors for their generous support and for providing gifts for these awards.
Leaning Pear
Monster Treats
Budaful Hiker
Marco’s
Wimberley Cafe
Thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a positive and supportive environment for all our students.
On last thing, best of luck to the Girls Cross Country Team as they compete at the State Meet this Saturday!
Have a fun and safe Halloween!

STUDENT LIFE & CLUBS
TEXAN BAND COMPETES IN UIL AREA
This past weekend, the Texan Band participated in the UIL Area D Marching Contest. Before getting here, students had to compete against themselves at the Region level. From there, with 9 Regions making up Area D, only 28 Bands made it to round 2. Our students performed well. We were rained on, and our students came out 11th overall. While being 1 spot short of finals, we have come a long way this year. We received kudos in Percussion and Guard, with additional comments about multiple facets of the show. With US Bands Championships in 2 weeks, we can still keep growing, and getting better.

INSTRUCTOR: Debbie Deleeon
Debbie practiced yoga for many years, eventually becoming a certified yoga instructor in 2021. Debbie is excited to share her love of yoga with others, specifically students navigating the stresses with navigating secondary school.
A mother of four sons, Debbie believes that incorporating yoga practice can be a healthy benefit for students. In yoga, stretching and breath work can help decompress life's demands with school work, outside jobs, decisions regarding post-secondary plans, etc.
Yoga asanas (poses/stretches) along with breath work, help to relax and be mindful with oneness of our inner being. It's a wonderful tool to assist with the chaos of life.
Debbie is a retiree with a 21 year career in Texas Public Schools. She is currently a trained WISD Volunteer.

ADMIN UPDATES
ADMIN REMINDERS
As we move further into the semester, we’d like to share a few friendly reminders to help keep our campus focused and running smoothly.
Cell Phones and Digital Devices
Please help us remind students that once they arrive on campus, all personal digital telecommunication devices — including cell phones, smartwatches, and earbuds — should be turned off or placed in airplane mode and stored inside backpacks, not in pockets. Keeping devices out of reach helps reduce distractions, encourages face-to-face interaction, and supports a positive learning environment for everyone.
Dress Code and Pajama Attire
With cooler weather setting in, we’re also seeing more cozy clothing around campus. While we understand the comfort appeal, pajama-type clothing may not be worn to school unless it’s part of a scheduled spirit day. We appreciate your help in reminding students to choose attire that aligns with our campus dress code and maintains a school-appropriate appearance.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us uphold a focused, respectful, and welcoming school environment!
2025-26 ATTENDANCE RECOVERY TIMES
ATTENDANCE REMINDER: Please make sure you are always covering your student's absence with some sort of documentation, even if it is a personal reason. This helps keep the student's attendance clean and avoids any questions of truancy.
All students should present a note upon their arrival to school if they are not here when the bell rings. If you are not signing your student in at the main office, please send a handwritten note or email to amy.bock@wimberleyisd.net so we know you are aware of their tardiness/whereabouts. It will be flagged as truancy otherwise.
